Savannah, Georgia

We had a great first few days in Savannah, and now we're headed to Miami (with a few stops along the Florida coast on the way.)  Jon's music did so well; it makes my heart happy to see people stop to listen and stay for an hour, couples dancing, children standing at his feet and looking up with big grins of amazement, and (of course) a sea of iPhones pointed his way, taking photos and videos.

We stayed along the riverfront and were awoken our first morning by a bright red sunrise over the water. After such an amazing alarm clock, we were both just giddy with excitement:  we can't believe we get to do this!

In total we were just in Savannah for a little over 24 hours, and it was blazing hot, so we didn't do too much exploring. We headed first to one of my favorite spots in the world, The Paris Market and Brocante.

For lunch we walked right across the street to Ruan Thai, a new spot for both of us. We love Thai more than probably any other type of food in the world, and when we'd finished lunch we both agreed that this. was. the. best. Ever. I will be dreaming about their soups and curries for the rest of our trip. And our bill was only $13, which made my sweet (thrifty) husband just as happy as he could be!

Savannah, we love you, and we'll be back soon.
