dinner...and more news

My favorite part of any city is dinner.  :)  So I couldn't wait to see what DC had for us!  Jon and I chose Masa 14, a Latin/Asian fusion place, at random on Tuesday night.  It was good, but I think we can do better.

After dinner my sweet husband and I then explored the 14th/U St. neighborhood a little bit, where we found gardens of ferns (ferns!), and...

We took our first baby bump picture!  (Why we've waited this long to take our first, I don't know.)  Yes, we're pregnant.  No, apparently we don't like to take our time with things!  I'm nearly 5 months now, and it shows.  And I'm loving every minute of it!  (Although I'll be loving things even more when we finally get our furniture in the new apartment!)

Bebe was definitely a big reason we decided on DC for our little family.  For one thing, it was getting hard for this growing mama to continue our road trip!  So much time in the car was beginning to get a little uncomfortable, and I was hit overnight with an overwhelming urge to nest and settle.  And as Jon and I walked through the museums of DC we kept imagining going back for visits once we're a family of three.  It just felt like home to us.  This little one will have the whole city as its playground!  (And it will need the city, considering it will just have a corner of the room in our tiny studio!)

January 3 is the big day!  Until then it will probably be slightly more "mama" around here, and much more "foodie," but overall mostly the same.
