we're home

Look.  We found our new home.

That's us on the very top floor of the building on the right.

We didn't think we would find it this quickly.  We had hoped to travel for another month or so, to see Canada, Chicago, California, and in-between.  But both of us started wanting a home somewhere around Philadelphia, and it hit us both on exactly the same day.  And we both wanted the same place:  Washington, DC.  Surprise!  It surprised us, too.  That was the last place we'd expected to settle.  We were headed to California, you know.  But we love the busy city feel.  And we loved a whole list of other things about this place.  So here we are!

We came in last Monday (after Princeton, Philadelphia, and New York City visits) and started looking for employment and an apartment, and by Friday afternoon we had found both those things.

So here we are:  official residents!  And this means, among other things.....Shake Shack anytime!!  ;)  Please let us know any and everything we need to do, see, and eat.
