crybaby matinee at the Angelika Pop-Up

A few weeks ago I took Lyon to a mama's matinee at the new Angelika Pop-Up near Union Market.  We saw Chef, in my opinion a perfect movie for the afternoon, because it was just interesting enough, but not so interesting that I didn't mind multi-tasking some during (mostly organizing and editing iPhone photos.  This mama likes killing two birds with one stone.)  Also great about the movie?  It was a total food-fest:  I left the theater calling Jon to meet me at Mi Cuba Cafe for a Cuban sandwich right after.  The sandwiches on that big screen looked so amazingly hot, buttery, and gooey with cheese.  Never mind that I already had a load of amazing foodie snacks from the theater to eat during.  :)

Mamas, crybaby matinees are the best, am I right?  There are so few places in the city to take your baby where you don't have to worry that he'll disturb the people around you.  I think it's safe to say that you'll be able to find me and Lyon here every Wednesday from here on out.

  1. i've heard so many good things about CHEF and am dying to see it. it's good to know that the movie doesn't require full attention either because my focus is "lacking" these days (*sigh* the scattered mind of a mama)
